Our Mission Statement

To help future park patrons by providing the most accurate and complete information about Worlds of Fun in a fun environment, to provide a community for all Worlds of Fun fans, and to preserve Worlds of Fun's unique history for its past, present and future visitors.

Who Are We?

LML was formed in 1999 with the Unofficial Worlds of Fun Web Site serving as the flag ship for our new company. At the present time LML consists of only three members, Jeffrey Mast, CEO, Matthew Laskowski, COO, and Jennifer Lovesee, President. Our website is located at: www.lml-online.com.

Jeffrey Mast - CEO/Programmer
Mr. Mast started his love for amusement parks back in the 70's when Worlds of Fun opened in Kansas City, MO. After spending countless hours visiting the Worlds of Fun he decided to help with the Fun and get a job with the park. His first job was working in the Food Service Department in 1982 (Operations was the job he wanted but that Department was full). After a couple of season a spot opened in Operations so he made the move to that Department and worked there until the end 1989. In 1988 he got a job with the local engineering company, Burns & McDonnell, as a Designer/Detailer. Some of the projects that he worked on at Burns & McDonnell include Worlds of Fun projects: Sky Liner, Sea Dragon, Cyclone Sam's, and Detonator.

Another one of Jeff's loves was for programming computers. He has spent many years learning different computer programming languages including C++, Assembler, Cobol, Visual Basic and recently Active Server Page's (ASP). He also enjoys photography almost becoming a photojournalist instead of working in the Engineering field. December 1999 he combined these loves and helped build the web-site(s) you see today.

Matthew Laskowski - Chief Operating Officer/Graphic Artist
Matt is the youngest of the staff and is also a very talented web designer. In May of 2001, he graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park, Kansas where he was editor-in-chief of the school's newsmagazine and on the editorial staff for the yearbook. Since then, he works as a customer care representative for a satellite television company. To top these achievements, he has been designing web sites for work and in his spare time since January 1997.

Jennifer Lovesee - President/Graphic Artist
Jennifer is a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from Northwest Missouri State University. She has been involved in webdesign and development for the past three years since the initial creation of this website. When not being involved with Worlds of Fun or Amusement Parks she also keeps busy with her many other interests which include reading from several genres, painting, playing the piano.

Leslie Lovesee - Technical Consultant
Les Lovesee is the one who is credited for making the sites all run, He has over 20 years of on the job LAN/WAN, IT, Networking experience and it is he who makes all of the code we throw together actually make it to where you are now reading it.

Our History

This history of this web site is quite long spanning over three years of existence. The web site you see today is a collaboration of three different ideas and two different web sites. The Unofficial Worlds of Fun Web Site that you see today was originally created by Jennifer Lovesee in November of 1997 as 26 Years, the history of Worlds of Fun and was a very simple fan's site devoted to her fascination with worlds of Fun history. However, portions of this web site start even earlier, with one of our webmasters Jeff Mast having created a web site in September of 1997 as an archive for his Mamba pictures and his famous Employee Contact page. It was also to have been one of the homes to the renovated concept of the Tour of the Park that you see today, which is a collaboration of ideas between Jeff's idea of the tour of each year and Jennifer's original creation of the tour of the park for the current year.

As Jeff's web site was developing so was Jennifer's, where in January of 1998 the first Tour of the Park came online as well as her web site being renamed Everything you need to know about Worlds of Fun as well as being redesigned. In March of the same year the web site was finally re-named to the name it would bear until 2001, the Unofficial Worlds of Fun Web Site. With this change came and fast, growing expansion of the web site, with new features, new information and new pictures added almost continuously by mid-summer, the job of keeping the web site up to date became to much for Jennifer to bear by herself. So she sent out a call for help for another webmaster. Matthew Laskowski would enter the scene at this point, with a past background in designing web sites and a love of Worlds of Fun, Jennifer and Matt would redesign and continue to build up the Unofficial Worlds of Fun Web Site through two complete redesigns.

Jeff Mast, would soon after re-enter the scene by at first contributing staggering amounts of important historical information and then later in 1999 would officially join with the web site with the move of the Employee Contact page over to the Unofficial Worlds of Fun WebSite. With the three working together with two graphic artists and one programmer as well as are very helpful technical consultant Les Lovesee, we where able to bring to you today our concepts and ideas in a way they had never been presented before. We hope you enjoy your Guide to our World and we hope that you will continue to visit us in the future.
